Laundry Boy

If Grant is getting a little fussy, all I have to do is dump a pile of clean clothes next to him and start folding. He thinks it's the greatest thing ever to "help" me with it! Here he is folding his little green polo.
His favorite toy is the laundy basket. Seriously, it will keep him entertained forever!

10 years ago I was:
...in the junior high years at ERJH. I played the violin in orchestra and took gymnastics. I tried out for cheerleading on a gimp leg. I fed Mrs. Ahlstrom's pets after school with some friends. I was immature and probably even annoying! I had two nieces whom I adored, Shelese and Becca and I loved having them close. I totally embarrassed myself by knocking a jar of rubber cement on my lap in math class. That story is a classic one. Standing in the stall while Mrs. Olson washes my pants with rubber cement thinner. Having Erin call lots of friends' moms to see if they could bring me some new pants, since my mom wasn't home. Waiting for the pants by the front office in my smelly, wet, rubber cement pants. Wearing a pair of pants the rest of the day that were too small. Ahhh. Those were the days.

5 things on my to do list today:
1. Visit my friend, Robyn
2. Order pics online
3. Scrapbook a few more pages
4. Play with Grant
5. Polish a song on the piano (when neighbors aren't home)

Things I would do if I became a billionaire:
Take care of first things first- tithing, taxes, donations, etc. Then I would pay off student loans, buy Tyson a plane, buy a house and new furniture, buy a grand piano, buy myself a sweet camera and photoshop software, update our faithful cars by a few years (they're a '97 and '98), and save and invest a bunch (Tyson would want me to say those ones).

3 of my bad habits:
1. Freaking out and imagining the worst case scenario. I can get myself pretty worked up.
2. Making piles. I am not the best organizer. There are piles hidden everywhere. Some of my sisters will understand because they do the exact same thing! :)
3. Interrupting Tyson by trying to finish his sentence and it is usually wrong. Are you reading this Tyson?

1. Mowing lawns- just my parents' and my dad's office- does that count as a job?

5. Mom/Homemaker

Something most people don't know about me:
I really can't think of anything exciting. I like to cook and I plan out our menu a month at a time so I never have to decide what to make that night. I love getting new recipes. My latest favorite dessert is lemon bars. I can eat a whole pan by myself.

Tribute to Aunt Ginny

This post is in memory of my Aunt Ginny, who passed away last Friday, February 8th. She was truly the sweetest and most selfless person I have ever known. She served three missions and taught school forever. She was always bringing some little family or person under her wing. I loved spending time with her because I knew that she loved me! She told the best stories, and I can remember many nights listening to her soft voice. She was single for most of her life, but recently married Claron Spencer. They were the cutest old couple!! They were serving a mission together in England when they were in a car accident in December. She was in a coma for a month before leaving this earth. I can just imagine the amazing reunion she had with her parents, brother, and other relatives who she got to know through family history work. We love you Aunt Ginny and we will miss you!

Grant's smiles

These pictures are proof that Grant smiles! :) Of course, all the open-mouthed smiles are before he got his teeth. He has 4 teeth now, and they all came pretty quickly. But I can't seem to get a good picture of them. I'll keep trying.

Grant will hold himself up for awhile now, as long as he has something interesting to look at, like my cell phone.

We went sledding Saturday night with some friends, and it was cold! Grant lasted about 5 minutes. Enough time to take some pictures and go down the hill once with dad. We couldn't tell if he enjoyed the ride at all. I think he was just frozen! Here's Grant with his friend Claire.
